On the first day of the Mobile World Congress, Nokia has announced the launch of the Nokia 105, a phone that will be released at the recommended price of 15 euros (before taxes). This mobile would replace the 1280 that was announced in late 2009, with a starting price of 20 euros. But there is a big difference between these two models. The Nokia 105 has two unique features: its design and battery life. Unlike the 1280 which had a black and white screen, the 105 not only has a color screen but the back shows the characteristic design "fable" of the Lumia (the smartphone of the most advanced range of Nokia). To this we have to add the battery life: 842 hours at rest (which are being 35 days) and 12 hours running.
Its size is 1.5 cm thick, 10 cm long, 4 cm wide and a display de1, 4 inches. It will be available in white, black, blue, yellow and red. No internet, no camera photographs or MP3 player, memory and dual sim. What it does have is the ability to make calls and added functionality to manage calls as entries, speakerphone, call forwarding, conference call, history of incoming and outgoing calls and the ability to store up to 500 contacts in Phonebook. Besides serving to make calls this phone also features multiple alarms, speaking clock and two important features: You can listen to the radio (FM) and incorporates a flashlight. Two uses that may seem anecdotal but they are a great value in the emerging economies.
In the starting price, along with the mobile phone includes charger, battery, headset and user guide. The Nokia 105, like the other models of Nokia, is manufactured in compliance with the standards of respect for the environment. Your keyboard is made dustproof and splash. The warranty is the standard Nokia in each country (in Spain for two years). One thing to keep in mind because, although the presentation of this model is made in Barcelona, this phone is not available in our country. Is expected to be marketed in what Nokia considers emerging countries: China, Egypt, Indonesia, Nigeria, Russia, Vietnam. Subsequently be launched in Africa, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
On the sales forecast, the Nokia have it clear: "millions". They add, "are the characteristics of this model (and its price) what differentiates us from competitors. Thought about all users. Estuerzo Hence the 105 that is robust, with high quality and design level ". They add: "the Nokia 105 not only is the ideal device for those who purchase a mobile for the first time, but a second device ideal security thanks to the battery life."
Hence, the question: what can you do with a mobile 15 euros? there are two possible answers. If this is your first mobile and you're in a developing country, and will allow you to manage phone calls, listen to the radio and give you light at night. If you already have a phone and you are looking for security (eg a trip to the mountains or travel to a country where there precises access the Internet from your mobile) will have an ideal device for long battery life.
