Samsung announces the thinnest smartphone Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3
Samsung introduced its new phones. Despite the disappointing data on income for the third quarter of this year, the company did not lose a minute: Meet the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3, the two devices in a metal case, which the company calls “the thinnest smartphone.”
At this time, the new models did without plastic housing, traditional Korean company. The thickness of the devices are 6.7 mm and 6.9 mm, respectively. Both come with a 5 megapixel front camera. Galaxy A5 has the most outstanding features: 5-inch display, 2GB of RAM, quad-core processor 1.2 GHz and 15-megapixel rear camera.
Galaxy A3 looks a little more modest: the display is 4.5 inches, the same processor, 1GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera on the back cover. Both smartphones run on the basis of Android KitKat (4.4) with support for 4G and a memory card slot for Micro-SD.
Revenues of Samsung undergo small stagnation due to the release of new models of Apple iPhone, but still may have taken the lead in the high segment. iPhone 6 runs on Samsung home market with a large number of pre-orders. However, the new Galaxy phones will focus more on the Chinese market and the middle segment.
According to the Korean company, Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will come “on selected markets, including China,” in November. The fact that the company allocates especially the Chinese market is very interesting, because there is competition in full swing. On the other – Lenovo, which plans to clone the business model Xiaomi exclusively within the Chinese market next year. Apparently, with two new devices, Samsung plans to provide users with a more premium experience for less money. But pricing is too early to speak.
