Recently, one of Hong Kong magazine tested the long-awaited video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan Z faster than other media. Review, however, was placed on the currently available drivers, and not in the final drivers for your video card. Even using a beta version of the software, the new flagship solution from Nvidia shows a remarkable performance. Nevertheless, it is not high enough to justify its price tag.

Magazine E-Zone managed to get a video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan Z 12GB, which is not officially for sale and test it in several popular benchmarks. Edition used the PC, working on six-core Intel Core i7-3960X, with 16 GB of DDR3 RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate x64. This test also participated AMD Catalyst 14.4 and Nvidia 337.69. All tests except for 3DMark, conducted in 2560 * 1440.

Obviously, the GeForce GTX Titan Z, equipped with dual-GPU GK110 does its job very well, as compared to any single-GPU graphics card. Nevertheless, it yields a pair of GeForce GTX 780 Ti cards in 2-band mode SLI (probably in 4K resolution the situation may change and Titan Z will be faster due to the larger amount of memory [6 GB GDDR5 for GPU]). Compared to its main competitor – AMD Radeon R9 295X2 – Titanium Z somewhere faster in some places equal, and in some places and slower, and this is the reason that Nvidia had to postpone its launch until the new drivers will not ready. Video card for $ 3000 will be faster than the graphics card for $ 1,500.

Experts from Hong Kong also found that the GeForce GTX Titan Z has a lower power consumption compared to Radeon R9 295X2. However, as the latter uses a hybrid solution of liquid cooling, it does not get as much as Titan Z. Furthermore, double chip graphics card from Nvidia is quite noisy.

The magazine concluded that currently GeForce GTX Titan Z hardly worth buying for $3000, because there is an alternative from AMD, which costs $1500 and GeForce GTX 780 Ti, and GeForce GTX Titan Black, which can be paired in SLI with much greater efficiency.

It should be noted that the GeForce GTX Titan Z has not yet been officially released, and it does not have the final drivers so that the actual performance is still to be learned.
