NVIDIA Corporation introduced a New Graphics Solution GeForce GT 740

NVIDIA Corporation and its partners on Friday introduced a new graphics solution based on the GPU two years ago. GeForce GT 740, though designed for multimedia applications and simple video games, but for demanding next-generation games its power is hardly enough.

GeForce GT 740 includes a GPU codenamed GK107 (384 stream processors, 32 texture units, 16 raster operating units, 128-bit memory bus), Kepler architecture and is manufactured using a process technology 28nm. New graphics cards come with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory or 2GB DDR3.

Specifications GeForce GT 740 resemble those of the GeForce GTX 650, which is not surprising, because they rely on the same type of processor. As clock speeds recommended Nvidia GT 740 chip for lower compared to the frequencies for the GTX 650, the majority of processors based on the GeForce GT graphics cards from different manufacturers will be dispersed at the factory.

Nvidia and its partners GeForce GT 740 is positioned as a low-cost solution for upgrading the system and integrated graphics. Some of the GT 740 cards will be available in a low profile design to fit into the design of thin clients.

Exact prices for graphics cards Nvidia GeForce GT 740 will depend on the manufacturer and the exact configuration, but it is expected that most of these cards will be priced at about $ 99 in the U.S. and £ 69 in the UK.
