HP may Start Producing Tablets Based on Android

One of the world’s largest computer manufacturers, HP is preparing to release a tablet computer based on the platform Google Android, website reported, citing sources familiar with the situation.

Release tablet based on Android, which is in addition to Apple iOS one of the most popular mobile platforms, could be a new attempt to take HP’s share of this fast-growing market. Previous experience has been unfortunate for the company, the tablet TouchPad based on its own operating system, webOS was discontinued less than two months after release in summer 2011.

HP Introduced First HP Smartphone Slate6 and Slate7 VoiceTab

The rumors were true: Hewlett-Packard has really come back into the smartphone market, while releasing this large size smartphone. Announcement of new products took place in India, where it will be sold at the initial stage.

First in the last three years under the brand HP created its first Smartphone named Slate 6 VoiceTab. It comes with a 6-inch IPS-screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a quad-core processor unknown brand (presumably, the chip was created by Marvell).

HP Dismissing 11% Staff

Withering computer industry is forcing one of its leaders to conduct extensive layoffs. According to Business Insider, Hewlett-Packard Company is going to cut about 11% of its staff. Year 2014 is very cruicial year for tech companies for survival or in order to keep balance in the market.
