Facebook CEO Zuckerberg’s Annual Salary Cut to $1 Dollar


Mark Zuckerberg – The Founder of the Largest Social Network Facebook – has been asked to lower his salary to $1 (One Dollar). This request was granted in the company, as Zuckerberg does not receive corporate bonuses. Of course, the initiative Zuckerberg does not mean that he is going to live to this very symbolic salary. As previously reported in The Huffington Post, only the placement of shares on the stock exchange in the spring of last year brought the creator of Facebook 2.27 billion dollars, and the salary and bonuses of $1.9 Million.

Just to recall that Mark Zuckerberg is not the first who refused wages, and there are cases where the CEO of a very successful company reduce your salary are not uncommon. At one time, as did Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. The symbolic one-dollar salary is received from Oracle CEO Larry Ellison and John Mackey of Whole Foods. As 1 dollar earned Jerry Yang as head of Yahoo!.
