Blackberry has announced that it will no longer allow T-mobile to sell its devices. Whereas the expiry date of existing agreement between these two companies is April 25.
The reason for terminating agreement with T-mobile is that T-mobile offered its blackberry customers to switch to another competitor’s smart phones. According to blackberry the existing blackberry customers on T-mobile network will be provided the same services and support.
John Chen the CEO of blackberry told: “T-mobile did not inform their plans in advance which results that blackberry got upset; and thanked its customers for informing their displeasure”. Chen also said: “Regretfully, at this time, our strategies are not complementary and we must act in the best interest of our BlackBerry customers. We hope to work with T-Mobile again in the future when our business strategies are aligned.”
Either this termination decision is right or wrong in favor of blackberry but Chen strongly believes that company will make a comeback in revenue, for which he is struggling hard.
